Tretorn Sneakers

The Swedish company Tretorn was founded in 1981 in Helsinborg by Henry Dunker. It initially produced a huge variety of products such as tires, balls, boots and even galoshes.

In 1902, they began to specialize on a niche market by launching the first rubber soled Tretorn sneakers and tennis balls and by 1930, they had a complete line of sport shoes.

In 1964, Tretorn introduced the Classic XTL, the world’s first leather performance sneaker.

1972 sees the release of the revolutionary Sarek hiking boot, which took over the market in just a few years. A decade later, the Official Preppy Handbook features Canvas nylite as a ‘must-have’ sneaker.

Tretorn sneakers have an extremely simple yet stylish look. They are a testimony of the Scandinavian way of “keeping it simple”.

Shoes that were first designed in the 30s and 40s are still manufactured and sold with huge success thanks to the great deal of thought put into them on the drawing board.

The tennis shoes by Tretorn make huge performances possible in the field, yet they are still appropriate for a nice walk on the beach or other pleasurable activities.
