Well, he seems to really like that army look because he’s done it again. Not with cars, and definitely not sneakers. This time he went for none other than the most popular gadget of all time: the iPhone.

Unfortunately, he didn’t redesign the whole watch, but instead, he gave it his unique camouflage paint, with his logo included.  It’s definitely going to be a pain to find it in the grass, but then again, maybe the bad guys won’t see it either.

Now, I’m sure he’s put an exorbitant price tag on it, as he’s usually done with everything he touched. But again, maybe it’s worth it in order to stand out.

He managed to piss off the whole classic car community when he revealed the pictures of his latest venture: A classic Mercedes 300SL, tuned up in the weirdest way possible.. I look at these images and I actually kind of like it. I would rather have the original, but what he’s come up with doesn’t really suck.

The camouflage may not be my first idea for a great car, but I wouldn’t mind being seen in a military Mercedes  300SL. And the Lamborghini doors are a really nice touch.. Other than that, I find this is a much better job than the pink Bugatti Veyron he really destroyed a while ago. God! Yuck!

Oh, yes, the camouflage is only vinyl, her didn’t actually paint the car.. he wouldn’t do that.. or would he? Who cares really? It’s his money.

But that’s not what classic car connoisseurs think.. When the pictures came out, the reviews of Nigo’s 300SL Mercedes ranged from bad to awful. I can understand why.. it’s like taking a Picasso or Mona Lisa and drawing your own funky doodle on it.. It’s just not ethical.

Even so, it’s still his car and he can do whatever he wants with it. So if you don’t like it, well, just bear it. Take a look:

This year, celebrating 15 years of activity, he was caught up for an interview in which he spoke a little about the criticism he’s got regarding the similarities between A Bathing Ape Sneakers and those from Nike, his love life and others.

Here’s the original interview from Complex magazine:

#1: “We used to sell to something like 40 different stores in Japan… But around 1998, I decided to just cut back to our one store in Tokyo. It didn’t take long until the sales from one store were as good as when we sold throughout the country. That made me realize that this was something bigger than I had imagined.”

#2: “I don’t think our clothes are so expensive; we make things in a very similar system to high-fashion designers… But we are interested in casual clothes. People get our jeans, tees and sweats confused with mass-produced consumer items. We respect the spirit of what we want to do over financial considerations—that’s consistent with our motto, I think.”

#3: “I sort of fell out of touch with hip-hop… But the thing that got me enthusiastic about it again in the late ’90s was the South, especially Cash Money. So, Lil Wayne wearing the clothes I had made was amazing. I am very pleased if he is known for wearing Bape.”

#4: “I have a girlfriend, and we have been together for about three years. She is a well-known actress in Japan [Riho Makise], and people are aware of the relationship… But she has her own career, and I don’t want to interfere in that. So, there is a conscious decision to avoid being seen together in public too often.”

#5: “I never read blogs. So, I don’t even hear the criticism about us doing Nike take-offs. I’d like to say that other brands doing Bape knockoffs shows that the brand is recognized and desired… But in reality, it’s really annoying to have to deal with it.”
