Italian sneaker brands are definitely the most important after their US and German competitors. They maintain their unique style, which has its obvious Mediterranean influences.

Let us not forget that Italy is the fashion centre of the world. With such a wide array of fashion designers, it was impossible for sneakers to not emerge from this environment.

Prada is another Italian Fashion Designer who has decided to spend a good share of its resources to design sport shoes.

Energie is an apparel company with an incredible collection of sneakers with mind blowing designs. When I first saw them, I could not believe that such shoes could ever be manufactured.

The clientele is made of young people because the collections have a very rebel appearance. That’s why you’ll always see heads turning towards you on the street when wearing Energie.

By far, the most important items are the Energie shoes. When I first saw them, I was speechless. I couldn’t believe that such things can actually be manufactured on this planet.

They’ve got a new campaign for the Fall Winter 09/10 Collection starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, an Irish model who’s also an actor. You’ve seen him in the movie Alexander where he plays the role of Cassander. You’ll get a video from the shootings and a few cool pictures.

The coolest part of the site is the “Energie Style Clash” section where they feature some fun/stupid videos of guys doing all sorts of stuff, with maybe a few words of wisdom from each.

There’s a graffiti artist, two guys wearing suits running around the city probably to get to a late meeting and, the most stupid of all, a naked guy wearing a helmet and running an obstacle course Nice.

Well, the thing that really interests us here, the Energie shoes! They’ve rolled out a few new models for this collection. Only eight…

The thing is they’re not really that outrageous as they used to be. I remember, when I first saw a pair of Energie sneakers, they were the weirdest and coolest shoes I’ve seen.

Now they aren’t like that anymore. They are still cool though. This probably has something to do with the fact that I’ve seen many weird things lately, and my whole idea of strange has changed.

My image of them right now is ‘old school’. The designs are classic and they use a lot of leather. The color combinations will definitely turn head around, though only two models of the collection are multi-colored. The others are black or some combinations of grey.

They didn’t post much information about any of the items in the collection, not even their name or number. I can’t tell you more about except what I got from the first impression. Take a look yourself.
