Retro Sneakers

Retro sneakers are very popular nowadays it appears. People love things that are kind of “retro”, long since they were on their peek, yet still “cool”.

Retro sneakers are just another item on the list of cool old things. They are popular because they create a slight feeling of nostalgia, making us remember a certain period in the past.

In many aspects, retro sneakers are like old school sneakers. The difference is that retro sneakers don’t really have that bound with the rap and the hip-hop culture of the late 70s and the 80s.

Wearing retro sneakers is at some level a way of returning to the lost authenticity, to the basic values of the golden era. It could be even be seen as a way of protest against the current sneaker models that don’t seem to be made by following the same principles that were used by the retro sneakers.
