Pharrell Williams Is Interested In Sneaker Manufacturing

After Missy Elliot and 50 Cent, it’s Pharrell Williams’s time to show his own collection of hip-hop sneakers.

As a result of a long term contract between him and Reebok, the Ice Cream sneakers collection is present on the market since October 2005. His “Billionaire Boys Club” clothing collection is also being manufactured by Reebok.

Both the footwear and the clothing collection are available in limited number and sold only in select shops around the world.

The Ice Cream collection is created in collaboration with the Japanese designer Nigo, the mastermind behind the Bathing Ape sneakers.

As Williams himself states, “the Ice Cream collection is everything the sneaker enthusiast desires: it is fashionable, inspirational, and most of all it is limited.” This sets apart this collection from the competition that looks to sell as much as possible as short as possible.

Ice Cream SneakersTo further differentiate and individualize this collection, each shoe comes in ice cream like packages, with images of diamonds and dollars on the side.

The Ice Cream sneakers will initially be sold in only three color combinations, following for more to be added in the future: white/black/red, black/red/blue and yellow/navy/blue.
