Ed Hardy Sneakers

In the last year of so I witnessed the fast rise in popularity of the Ed Hardy sneakers. They come with the sickest designs I’ve ever seen printed on a pair of shoes.

How? When? Where did they suddenly come from??

The Ed Hardy brand is based on the works of tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy who, throughout his career of almost forty years, not only did create hundreds of dazzling tattoo designs, but he also published over 25 books documenting alternative art. Those books include both his works and that of other fellow artists.

The Ed Hardy clothing brand was born in 2004 when , Christian Audigier, the former head designer at Von Dutch, bought the rights to produce a line of clothing using Don’s name and tattoo sketches.

The deal seems to have paid off so far, because now I’m seeing their products everywhere… T-shirts, jeans, sneakers.. everything.

What are the Ed Hardy sneakers like?

Take a look for yourself.

Ed Hardy SneakersThey’re regular ol’ canvas shoes, not much different from what the guys at Converse sell you. You’d think you can customize them like that yourself…

But my god, look at the prints on them… there’s no way on earth you’re going to get your hands on anything like it.

Sadly, most of these sneakers are made for either women or kids 🙁  I sure would like to see something for the rest of us, but, well, we’ll have to settle for something else for now.

You can choose some Ed Hardy sneakers from this nice selection.

By the way, Zappos is currently having a sale on Ed Hardy shoes, so you might want to check that out fast.
